Here’s a wonderful little (well not-so-little)
posted over at the Kissmetrics Marketing blog, illustrating the importance consumers place upon color and branding. Not only when making purchase decisions, but color also subconsciously affects how they feel about the brand ( feelings of loyalty, quality of the product, target market).
Yup, color can do that! Don’t underestimate it’s power, and think twice before just slapping together a few colors that “look nice” in the swatches menu.
I don’t agree 100% with all of the “color/consumer effect” summaries used in the graphic, however, these apply strictly to “online” shoppers so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
