A guide to being an ethical designer

Despite the sensationalist (*cough* click fodder) title in it’s entirety:

“Don’t be a douche bag! A simple guide to being an ethical designer.”

I found this quick little article to be a very timely read. So much of the vitriol designers spout today about “bad clients” are not unfulfilled contractual obligations but unrealistic, unwritten expectations in our head that they “should conduct business in a way we find acceptable”. As the author…wait for it…Speider Schneider (yiss!) states: “not everyone shares the same ethics”. So let’s just focus on regulating ourselves and being more communicative or selective with our clients instead of stewing and pointing the finger.
